cultivating experiential retail
We purchased the Village Grove neighborhood center in Mesa, Arizona in August, 2016. We were attracted by its unorthodox anchor tenant, a high-volume gymnastics and skateboarding juggernaut called Kids That Rip. Immediately upon purchase, we spruced up the tenant mix by adding a gym and Dollar Tree to the property’s eastern wing and developed a standalone Starbucks on an infill pad in the parking lot.
Moreover, we renovated Kids That Rip’s anchor space and extended their lease, further solidifying its irreplaceable presence in the Mesa community.
