Bio

Zach is a distinguished real estate entrepreneur with nearly two decades of experience investing, operating, and developing commercial properties across the Western United States. He is responsible for firmwide management and corporate strategy in his current role, demonstrating his expertise in steering organizational growth and success.

Before co-founding CVP, Zach was a Principal at Evergreen Development Company. During his tenure at Evergreen, he specialized in land acquisitions, project management, and securing private equity. Before that, Zach built his career in retail brokerage, managing the leasing of a substantial one million square foot portfolio that included retail, office, and multifamily assets in Tucson, Arizona.

Zach is also an aspiring academic. He regularly teaches graduate-level courses at Portland State University’s Master of Science in Real Estate program. He has contributed to the academic community by teaching at Willamette University’s MBA for Professionals program, where he shares his extensive industry knowledge and practical insights.

His professional recognition includes receiving the Stephen Chamberlin Graduate Student Fellowship from the Urban Land Institute, which highlights his academic excellence and commitment to the real estate field. Zach is an active ICSC member, further underscoring his dedication to professional development and industry engagement.

Zach holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and is an alumnus of Northwestern University’s Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.

Residing in Portland, Oregon, with his wife Kelley and daughters Emilia and Isabella, Zach remains actively involved in his community. He serves as the treasurer of the Hillside Soccer Club and dedicates his time to volunteering as a soccer coach. Zach also leads youth girls lacrosse for LYS Lacrosse and is a member of their board.
